PART TIME POSITION

+Bake Cafe by Take Ur Seat in Rancho Cucamonga is looking for a part time barista. SUNDAY is a must!

Responsibilities

• Welcome guests by determining their coffee interests and needs.

• Educate guests by presenting and explaining the coffee drink menu; answering their questions.

• Create a culture of family and warmness

• Working together with other restaurant/coffee bar staffs to create a safe working & learning community. This cafe is connected with a restaurant.

• Prepare and sell coffee drinks by following prescribed recipes and preparation techniques for coffee drinks, such as, espresso based drinks (cappuccino, lattes), drip and cold brew.

• Sell retail coffee beans and other merchandises

• Maintain inventories by replenishing coffee bar supply; stocking coffee brewing equipment; maintaining inventory, paper goods, cooking homemade syrups, making cold brew for coffee bar.

• Keep equipment operating by following operating instructions; troubleshooting breakdowns; maintaining cleaning supplies; performing preventive maintenance; calling for repairs.

• Maintain safe and healthy work environment by following organization standards and sanitation regulations.

• Improve quality results by studying, evaluating, and re-designing processes; implementing changes; maintaining and improving the appearance of the store and coffee bar.

• Keep entire work area neat and clean including bussing tables, wiping tables and chairs, sweeping/cleaning floors and bathroom

• Picking up the phone, putting food / coffee order into POS, running food / drinks, have a basic knowledge of our food menu, seating guests / taking orders when necessary

• Deal with complaints or problems with a positive attitude

• Issue bills and accept payment

• All other duties as assigned 

Qualifications

• Previous barista / specialty coffee experiences are preferred but not required
• Previous food and beverage working experiences are preferred but not required
• High integrity with a great attendance record
• Strong attention to detail
• Ability to listen and communicate effectively
