Aloha! Our coffee `ohana is growing with an opportunity to join our passionate team at Tradition Coffee Roasters!

Are you awesome? Have coffee experience? Tradition Coffee Roasters is searching for the perfect candidate to welcome into our coffee `ohana. Weʻre looking for someone who has a deep love for coffee, a hunger for knowledge, and a genuine desire to enhance the coffee experience of others. If you're fun, outgoing and people-oriented, we really want to meet you. 

Weʻre a growing family run business here in Kailua on the windward side of Oahu. Weʻre a relatively small business that has begun to expand quickly in the last few years. We are very involved in community outreach initiatives and sustainability. Forgive a moment where I share some pride for our team…In 2022 we won “best new business of 2022” In 2023 we earned "Outstanding Business of the Year", and were top three finalists for "Best coffee Brand in Hawaii"and "Best Cafe Hawaii". Our amazing staff has also helped us earn over 100 5-star google reviews. Everyone on our team has worked hard to earn those ratings and want someone who wants to come on board with us and help put a “0” on the end of that 100. :)

Position: Coffee Guide and Café Extraordinaire

Responsibilities:

• Spread your love for coffee by providing exceptional customer experiences that leave a lasting impression.
• Show off your barista expertise, from dialing in shots to crafting the perfect latte with stunning latte art.
• Thrive in a fast-paced café environment, multitasking and engaging customers with aloha.
• Maintain a clean and inviting café area, creating a welcoming space for our valued customers. We see ourselves as coffee guides for our customers. We love to explore with them and strive to simplify a sometimes overly complicated beverage.
• Be an integral part of our amazing team, embracing collaboration and supporting each other's growth.
• Potentially be a part of our coffee roasting and production.
• Full Time (35-40 hours)
• Weekend availability required (1 day min) 

Preferred Qualifications:

• A proven track record as a barista in a medium to high volume café, mastering the art of coffee extraction and latte creation.
• A genuine passion for coffee that shines through in your work, igniting a similar passion in others.
• Flexibility and adaptability to thrive in a bustling café environment, where no two days are the same.
• A hunger for knowledge and an eagerness to learn and grow within our company.
• Outstanding people skills, with a knack for creating meaningful connections and delivering exceptional customer service.
• A positive outlook on life, bringing enthusiasm, optimism and a can-do attitude to the workplace. Smiles are contagious. 

Additional Skills:

If you possess any of the following skills and are willing to share them, please let us know:

• Experience managing social media platforms and executing marketing campaigns.
• Bilingual proficiency, especially in Japanese, to cater to our diverse customer base.
• Coffee roaster or chocolate roaster
• Video editing skills to help create captivating content for our online platforms.
• Sales experience to drive business growth and build strong customer relationships.
• Podcast editing abilities to contribute to our coffee-centric discussions and educational content.
• Good jokes!
