The Role

We’re seeking a bold and inventive Director of Communications to drive Crescendo.ai’s earned media strategy. This is not a traditional PR role. We want someone who lives for the hustle—who can manufacture news, hijack narratives, seed curiosity, and generate momentum in media cycles about AI and customer experience.

You’ll have a nose for what’s newsworthy, the hustle to pitch and place stories, and the creativity to craft moments that get talked about. You’ll work closely with our executive, product, and marketing teams to turn our technology and vision into high-impact stories that land us in headlines.

What You’ll Do:

• Develop and execute creative, proactive communications strategies that position Crescendo.ai as a leader in AI and customer experience.
• Lead the planning, creation, and distribution of high-impact content, including blogs, thought leadership articles, customer stories, and executive communications.
• Shape and maintain a cohesive narrative and brand voice across all external communication touchpoints.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with media, analysts, and influencers to drive coverage and thought leadership.
• Identify and respond to timely media opportunities, leveraging breaking news or industry trends to insert Crescendo into the conversation.
• Lead the strategy and execution of Crescendo’s social media presence to drive engagement and amplify brand messaging.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with marketing, product, and leadership teams to align communications with business goals.
• Monitor, analyze, and report on communications effectiveness, adjusting strategies as needed for impact.

What We Expect From You:

• 8-10+ years of experience in communications, content, or media strategy with a proven track record of storytelling and narrative development.
• Strong background in managing cross-channel communications, including media relations, editorial content, and social media.
• Demonstrated ability to create high-quality content and lead integrated communications campaigns.
• Excellent writing, editing, and messaging skills with the ability to translate complex topics into accessible, engaging stories.
• Experience building relationships with media and influencers in the tech, AI, or customer experience spaces.
• Strategic mindset and ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
