Comcast NBCUniversal has announced its intent to create a new publicly traded company ('Versant') comprised of most of NBCUniversal's cable television networks, including USA Network, CNBC, MSNBC, Oxygen, E!, SYFY and Golf Channel along with complementary digital assets Fandango, Rotten Tomatoes, GolfNow, GolfPass, and SportsEngine. The well-capitalized company will have significant scale as a pure-play set of assets anchored by leading news, sports and entertainment content. The spin-off is expected to be completed during 2025.

Job Description

We are looking for a Manager, Technology to join the Technology team in El Paso, TX, supporting KTDO. As the Manager, Technology, you will be primarily responsible for day-to-day oversight and management of the team implementing and supporting technology and users within our mission critical, media production and enterprise IT environment. Job Responsibilities:

• Lead the requirements gathering, planning, and implementation of technical and workflow solutions for News, Production, and Creative Services partners.
• Oversight & administration of media production applications, systems and infrastructure, including critical facility infrastructure, ensuring reliability of technology and operations.
• Oversee technical support, incident response operations and customer communication.
• Provide processes, resourcing and guidance to ensure team objectives & SLAs are met.
• Hire, coach and develop team members throughout their career journey.
• Develop & maintain strong stakeholder relationships, ensuring effective communication.
• Ensure compliance with NBCUniversal cyber security policies and standards.
• All other duties as assigned.
• Required onsite . This position is required to be performed full time onsite from an NBCUniversal designated work site.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 7 years relevant experience, including minimum 3 years of leadership experience, consisting of people management, project leadership, or indirect leadership.
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, radio, television & film, related fields, or equivalent experience.

Skills & Experience we are looking for:

• Ability to articulate clear performance expectations, provide accountability for team members and communicate effectively across stakeholders at all levels.
• Leading support of mid to major market news or live event production operations & 24x7 mission critical technology facilities.
• Expertise in planning, implementation and support of media technology including SDI video infrastructures, contribution & distribution encoding, live production systems, news gathering tools, NRCS, NLE, media asset management, and transmission systems.
• Expertise in core IT fundamentals including administration of physical / virtualized / cloud compute & storage, networking, domain & identity management.
• History of successfully leading complex projects resulting in satisfied stakeholders.
