JOB REQUIREMENTS: Answer telephones and give information to callers,
take messages, or transfer calls to appropriate individuals. Greet visitors or callers and handle their inquiries or direct them to the appropriate persons according to their needs. Create, maintain, and enter information into databases. Operate office equipment, such as fax machines, copiers, or phone systems and arrange for repairs when equipment malfunctions. Use computers for various applications, such as database management or word processing. Set up and manage paper or electronic filing systems, recording information, updating paperwork, or maintaining documents, such as attendance records, correspondence, or other material. Operate electronic mail systems and coordinate the flow of information, internally or with other organizations. Schedule and confirm appointments for clients, customers, or supervisors. Maintain scheduling and event calendars. Compose, type, and distribute meeting notes, routine correspondence, or reports, such as presentations or expense, statistical, or monthly reports. Complete forms in accordance with company procedures. Locate and attach appropriate files to incoming correspondence requiring replies. Open, read, route, and distribute incoming mail or other materials and answer routine letters. Make copies of correspondence or other printed material. Order and dispense supplies. Prepare conference or event materials, such as flyers or invitations. Manage projects or contribute to committee or team work. Mail newsletters, promotional material, or other information. Develop or maintain internal or external company Web sites. \*\** OTHER EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS: Are you looking for a part-time position that offers excellent working conditions, and dedicated co-workers? Our position is 25 hours per week, 8:00 - 1:00, M-F schedule. This highly visible position will assist with the day-to-day operation of the church including worship related activities, office duties, and ministry support. Key responsibilities include preparing weekly worship service materials; maintaining the church calendar and schedule events; maintaining church database and records; answering the phone; greeting visitors and members; vendor relations; producing and emailing weekly and monthly newsletters; report generation; and volunteer coordination. The successful candidate will possess 3-5 years as an administrative assistant with a strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and desktop publishing. Experience with social media and websites is helpful. Good communication skills (both written and verbal); strong organizational skills; self-starter with ability to act independent. The ability to process highly confidential information and handle finances are traits we are seeking.
