  • Ensure accuracy and compliance across all filings, even in a fast-paced, high-output environment
  • Interpret and apply current tax regulations to client situations
  • Analyze client documentation including income statements, W-2s, 1099s, expense reports, and prior-year returns
  • Identify applicable deductions, credits, and tax-saving opportunities
  • Collaborate with senior staff to research and resolve complex tax issues
  • Communicate with clients to request documentation, clarify information, and explain completed returns
  • Maintain organized, accurate, and confidential client files and workpapers
  • Stay current on tax law changes through training sessions and internal updates
  • Contribute positively to a collaborative team environment and support firm-wide goals

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (or expected by May 2026)
  • Experience preparing multiple tax returns in a deadline-driven environment (academic, internship, seasonal, or entry-level role preferred)
  • Ability to manage high-volume workloads with strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Familiarity with professional tax software such as Drake, Intuit ProSeries, or Lacerte is a strong plus
  • Solid understanding of accounting fundamentals and current tax regulations
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other office applications
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Reliable, detail-oriented, and eager to learn in a fast-growing firm
